Palazzo Ragazzoni
The first phase of the 26th Piano FVG biennial international piano competition concluded yesterday evening in Sacile, in the sumptuous frescoed rooms of Palazzo Ragazzoni.
Organized by the Piano FVG Association, under the artistic direction of Davide Fregona – and created with the Municipality of Sacile, the Region and Fondazione Friuli – in its more than twenty-year continuity, the competition highlights new keyboard talents, this year coming from 70 different nations.
An international jury of the highest artistic profile, composed of world-famous pianists and teachers, will evaluate the performance: Anna Kravtchenko, President of the Jury, Pavel Gililov, Hong Fu, Giuseppe Andaloro and Muriel Chemin.
Artese Alessandro (Italy – 2001)
He trained with Benedetto Lupo among others and is the winner of many international competitions.

Bevilacqua Domenico (Italy – 2002)
Since he was very young he has participated in national and international competitions, winning numerous awards, and has performed as a soloist at the Ravenna Festival and Emilia Romagna Concerts, also under the direction of Riccardo Muti.

Lee Jaeyoon (South Korea – 1997)
A pianist who is already highly appreciated internationally and who gave her first public concert at the age of five: she is currently studying at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and as a soloist, she has been invited to important festivals and concert halls in Europe, Asia and the United States.

Lun Sherri Hoi-Ching (Hong Kong – 2003)
A graduate of the Royal Academy Of Music, she already has numerous experiences as a soloist in important concert halls around the world and has participated in Masterclasses with some of the most highly regarded Maestros around.

Marut Tomasz (Poland – 1996)
Graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, he won international competitions, participated in festivals and played in several European countries and the United Arab Emirates.

Pecnik Mia (Croatia – 2000)
She studies at the Hfmt in Cologne and at the same time at the Talent Music Master Courses in Brescia. He has won numerous awards, including the Young Musician of the Year award at the Zagreb Philharmonic.

THE PERFORMANCE
The winners of the 2025 Special Awards are: Jington Yuan, for the award dedicated to the late composer Giuseppe Molinari from Sacile; Marut Tomasz, for the 900 award dedicated to the best performance of a piece composed after 1900; Lun Sherri Hoi Ching, for the Lya De Barberis award dedicated to the best performance of Beethoven’s sonata.
The other three finalists Mia Pecnik, Alessandro Artese and Lee Jaeyon performed with them.
The names of the six finalists were announced by artistic director Davide Fregona with mezzo-soprano Valentina Volpe Andreazza, who hosted the evening.
The large participation and high quality of the candidates testify to the ever-increasing prestige of the competition, which stands out for its commitment to enhancing the talent of young pianists from all over the world”.
