She began her musical studies at the age of five, under the guidance of Jean and Marguerite Manuel. She obtained her Diplôme d’exécution and Licence de Concert from the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris with Blanche Bascourret de Gueraldi. She perfected her studies in Italy with Maria Tipo (later becoming her assistant), then in Switzerland at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève where she graduated, being awarded the Premier Prix de Virtuosité.

She held several concerts in Paris at the Salle Gaveau and Théâtre de Paris and in other cities in France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the United Kingdom (with the Southbank Sinfonia), Greece (with the Quatuor Psophos), Turkey, Romania, Russia, Poland, Chile (with the Orquesta Clásica Universidad de Santiago) and the United States, where she performed as a soloist, in piano duets, in chamber music groups and with the orchestra, under the guidance of renowned conductors like Árpád Gérecz, Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Nicolas Rauss, Daniel Barda, David del Pino Klinge, Simon Over, Maurizio Dini Ciacci, Nicolas Krauze.

She took part in many Beethoven and Mozart concerts, composers to whom she dedicated most of her career. She won the Concours International Hennessy-Mozart in Paris, where she was enthusiastically applauded by the jury and in particular, by the president Paul Badura-Skoda. Moreover, the great Italian orchestra conductor, Carlo Maria Giulini, expressed heart-felt admiration after hearing her play the last three Beethoven sonatas in 1998.

In Italy she was guest pianist at prestigious musical institutions such as the Orchestra Regionale Toscana, the Teatro Alighieri of Ravenna, the Auditorium Verdi of Milan in duet with French cellist Alain Meunier. She recorded several CDs for the Solstice record company.

In 2012, on the occasion of Claude Debussy’s 150th birth anniversary, she performed in several concerts with his 12 studies.

She lives in Venice, where she is piano professor at the Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello since 2014. Many of her students were awarded in international competitions.

Her Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations and the complete piano Sonatas recorded for Odradek, received many astonishing reviews.

She is regularly invited as a jury member in international piano competitions.

Praised by the Los Angeles Times for his “power, virtuosity and mastery of tone color (that) is vivid and evocative,” Korean-born pianist Ick-Choo Moon is the recipient of numerous awards including prizes from the Montreal International Competition, the Geneva International Competition, and the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition at the Juilliard School. In 1989, he gave a critically acclaimed New York recital debut at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall as winner of the William Petschek Award, one of the highest honors given by Juilliard to its pianists. Since making his United States debut in 1979 with the Minnesota Orchestra under Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, Moon has performed in many countries including the United States, Canada, Russia, Japan and Korea. His performances have been broadcast frequently on radio and TV in the United States, Canada and Korea.

Moon grew up in the United States and Canada as well as in his native Korea and studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and with Gyorgy Sebok at Indiana University where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees with highest distinction. He later received his doctor of musical arts degree from the Juilliard School where he worked with Sascha Gorodnitzki

Currently Professor of Piano at Seoul National University in Korea, Moon has also taught at University of California at Los Angeles where he headed the piano department for 12 years. During the summers he has taught and performed at Brevard Music Center, the Chautauqua Institute, Festival MusicAlp in France, Amalfi Music Festival in Italy and in numerous festivals in Korea.

Steinway Artist and concert pianist, co-founder and director of the label KNS Classical and artistic director of several cycles and festivals of music, Carles Lama has also won a reputation for mentoring a wide number of young talents.

Together with superior studies in piano performance in Spain, Paris and United States and having directed the Conservatory of Music in Girona -from 2006 to 2012 – he studied Music Business, Branding and Digital Marketing and has founded Music Talent Lab, and presented workshops and lectures in different institutions in order to guide and enlighten the musicians ‘careers.

At the same time, he has taught Master-Classes around the world and has been jury member of many renowned international competitions.

He is member of the acclaimed “Carles & Sofia piano duo” with his wife Sofia Cabruja, with whom they have played around the world, including venues like Carnegie Hall, Palau de la Música Catalana, Sala Verdi or Teatro Solís, among others. They have been praised by public and critics alike as one of the best piano duos in the world. Their discography of more than 10 CDs includes masterworks for four hands and brilliant and demanding orchestral transcriptions, as well as original and exclusive projects created by the duo, including the transcription of the opera “Goyescas” or a “Lieder Project”, with transcriptions for four hands of Brahms, Schumann and Schubert lieder repertoire.

Always committed with social needs, he has a UNICEF award for his humanitarian aid.
In 2012, together with his wife, they founded Concerts4Good, Music on a Mission, a solidarity project. And in 2020, they created their own Foundation: Carles & Sofia Music Foundation.

He has been recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation and has received the Golden Star for the Professional Excellence, the Golden Medal for the Merit at Work and the European Golden Cross.

Johannes Kropfitsch (born 1960) is one of the most outstanding Viennese pianists. His performances convince with intellectual power as well as high virtuosity. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna with Hans Petermandl and Hans Graf and received his final diploma with unanimous distinction in 1985. He attended master classes with Stanislav Neuhaus (Moscow), Alexander Jenner and Wilhelm Kempff. He received his doctorat in law in 1987.
Johannes Kropfitsch was prize-winner /finalist at the „Busoni“ competition in Bozen, the concours „Marguerite Long“ in Paris, „Alessandro Casagrande“, „Citta di Senigallia“ in Italy and won a new Bösendorfer grand at the “Bösendorfer“ competition (1985) in Vienna.
Since then he performs regularly as a soloist, but also with his sister Elisabeth (violin) and his brother Stefan (cello), forming the famous JESS-TRIO-WIEN, wich has ist own series of Concerts in the Wiener Konzerthaus.
Johannes Kropfitsch was soloist in concerts of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the RSO Vienna, the Slovenian Philharmony, the 21st Century Orchestra Kobe (Japan).
He performs worldwide in the most important music centers, as London (Wigmore Hall), New York (Carnegie, Lincoln Center), Tokyo, Seoul (International Artist Center), Moscow, Barcelona.
In addition to the standard repertory he performed all 32 Sonatas by L. v. Beethoven, the entire Wohltemperiertes Klavier by J. S. Bach and the 24 Studies by F. Chopin.
He founded the well known Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach am Wörthersee in 1993. Johannes Kropfitsch is also a specialist for dodecaphonic music (Schoenberg, Berg, Webern and successors). He is member of the board of the International Chopin Society in Vienna.
He became assistant teacher for the class of Hans Graf at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna in 1985. Since 1998 he is professor at the Music and Art University of the City of Vienna and was appointed chair of the department of keyboard instruments in 2008. Since 2014 he has been elected vice-dean.

He has recorded for the Brussels-based label Empire Master Sound and has recently published a CD for Velut Luna with the integral cycle of Liszt’s 12 Grand Etudes.

He has a predilection for the romantic and twentieth century repertoires with a particular eye to contemporary music, having on several occasions presented compositions never previously performed.

He is a teacher at the Music Academy “Giuseppe Tartini” of Trieste and is regularly invited to give Master Classes (Cajkovskij Music Academy of Moscow and the Liszt Academy of  Budapest).

He has been a member of the jury in several important music competitions.

He made his Italian debut in 70s thanks to some very important international competitions he was awarded in, like the “Ferruccio Busoni”, the “Dino Ciani”, the “Ettore Pozzoli” the “Rina Sala Gallo”, the “Cata Monti”, the “Beethoven” in Wien, the “Reine Elisabeth” in Bruxelles, the “Liszt-Bartok” in Budapest and the “Paloma O’Shea” in Santander, achieving three absolute first prizes, two second prizes and several other special mentions.

Afterwards he started a prestigious piano concert career, performing in the most important theatres worldwide – among them the Sala Philarmonia in Kiev, the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, the Park Musik Hall in Dallas, the Musikverein in Wien, the Teatro Colòn in Buenos Aires.

Nowadays Daniel Rivera is widely renowned and highly esteemed worldwide within the piano concert landscape, considered a pioneer of piano challenges and a performer of programs and works very rarely played; this interest hit the highest spots in 2002, when he presented – in a world premiere performance – his transcription of the “Rite of Spring” by Stravinsky confirming once again his extraordinary technique and interpretative skills.

This impressive and worldwide unique transcription captured the interest of Martha Argerich, who personally invited Rivera to the “Progetto Martha Argerich” in Lugano, where he performed in June 2009. Since that time, the link with the legendary Argentinian pianist turned into an intense artistic cooperation. With Martha Argerich, Daniel Rivera performed in piano duo (two pianos and piano 4 hands) at the Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona, at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, at the Politeama Theatre in Catanzaro, at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni di Udine, at the Piano Festival of Pietrasanta and Ascoli Piceno, up the legendary concerts on 19th and 20th October 2012, at the Teatro El Circulo of Rosario (Argentina) – four CDs have been released in June 2014, edited and distributed by IRCO in Buenos Aires – and for the inauguration of the Petrarca Theatre in Arezzo on December 2015, and the prestigious “Greek Theater” of Taormina (Sicily) in August 2019.

Still for IRCO Cosentino in Buenos Aires he recorded two CDs with Franz Liszt Opera transcriptions and paraphrases, as well as the 12 Trascendental Studies. Jury member within some relevant international piano competitions, Daniel Rivera is extremely keen of teaching: besides his faculty chair at the “Istituto di Alta Cultura Musicale Pietro Mascagni” in Livorno, at “Accademia Strata” in Pisa, at the “Academy of the Arts” in Sarzana and at the “Musica Ritrovata” Academy in Livorno, he is frequently invited to hold several high piano courses and master classes in Italy and abroad, such as at UNR, University of Rosario (Argentina) Conservatory of Music in Udine, Parma, La Spezia, Bari, Monopoli, Trieste, Cosenza, the Lemmeintitut in Leuven, Belgium, the “Summer Musical Holidays” in Urbino, the International Festival “Duchi d’Acquaviva” in Atri, “Via Francigena” International Arts Festival in Lucca, and the Livorno Music Festival.

Born in 1952 in Rosario (Argentina). Thanks to the scholarship gained by winning the first prize “Vincenzo Scaramuzza” organized by the “National Fund for Arts” and the “Argentinian Mozarteum” in 1973 he moved to Italy where – under the direction of M°Alessandro Specchi – he achieved the Italian Diploma at the Cherubini Conservatory of Music in Florence with 10/10 cum laude grade and the honor mention. Then he completed his studies with M°Alessandro Specchi and Maria Tipo in Florence and with Ludwig Hoffman in Munich.
